Specifying FIS members

Membership is subject to strict vetting procedures built around the FIS PPP Quality Framework.  Accredited members are vetted on application, and then every three years to ensure that they continue to meet the high standards FIS demands.

Ongoing vetting for contractors includes on-site assessment and as well as a range of financial and legal compliance checks.  The physical vetting process is supported by an Annual Declaration, our Disputes Resolution Process and Code of Conduct with sanctions possible in line with the FIS rules of membership.

To find a vetted member of the FIS, visit our online directory here.

Acoustic Verification

The FIS Acoustic Verification Scheme has been created to enable members to verify tests and present these to market in a consistent and transparent manner.  The scheme was developed to stop passing off and issues related to the comparability of acoustic airborne sound insulation tests that was causing confusion in the market.

Through the FIS Acoustic Verification Process, appointed Acoustic experts Cundall LLP ensure that products displaying the Verified Data Logo can be fairly compared. Look for the logo to provide reassurance that you are working with a responsible supplier.  Accredited products are also listed on NBS.

Products currently in scope – operable walls and glazed partitions, find out more here.

FIS is also able to offer directly and through our members CPD support to specifiers through our CPD Hub.
