FIS offers an Advisory Service on problem installations, covering all matters relating to suspended ceilings, partitioning, drylining, plastering and access floors. This covers materials, ancillary equipment, systems, their application and installation.

FIS members are entitled to free telephone advice on a range of topics, these helplines are linked to our membership of BuildUK, which is cascaded to our members. Find out more

Members can access discounted comprehensive support through Citation Ltd.  This extends the existing HR, Employment Law and Health & Safety 24/7 expert advice lines already available through Membership opening up 100s of model documents, contracts and templates, and a dedicated local consultant with annual site visits. Plus, Citation offer support on training, fire and electrical safety services, ISO Certifications, and SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Service) Accreditation.

FIS members recieve our fortnightly e-newsletters, highlighting key information and opportunities for the sector.  The aim is to keep these concise and relevant.  Newsletters are supplemented by dedicated single issue bulletins on key issues and of course a free subscription to our bi-monthly magazine, SpecFinish.

Helping Members to grow their business

FIS Members are sent an exclusive logo that confirms that they have been vetted as part of their application and at regular intervals during their membership.  This also means members are committed to our Code of Conduct, which provies reassurance to clients. 

FIS Members get a free listing on our specialist directory, this is promoted to clients and contractors to aid their procurement and commissioning and promote the use of fully vetted FIS Members.

FIS also has a dedicated in-house marketing team that can lend advice and support.  This includes supporting you in developing and amplifying you own social media presense. 

In addition, FIS has partnered with Barbour ABI to extend its reach and educate and take our content directly to specifiers and building designers.  This partnership enables FIS members to extend their presence on Barbour ABI through our Specialist Interiors Hub and to access discounts on core services available from Barbour ABI.

FIS Skills Advisory Service

Our specialist team are on hand to advise members on all things training, whether it be sourcing training through our specialist Approved Training Provider network, taking on an apprentice or getting someone assessed for an NVQ, we are set up to help. 

Our team are also expert in sourcing funding for training (on average FIS members recoup 25% more return on their CITB levy than non-members).  Members can also benefit from the dedicated FIS E-learning Academy.
