Annual General Meeting

5 November 2021, The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London

At the FIS AGM, which took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel ahead of our Annual Awards lunch, motions were proposed and seconded to accept the accounts, the appointment of the board and the reappointment of the auditors as part of the AGM process.

The AGM was presided over by the FIS President Helen Tapper, who, given the extenuating circumstances that the pandemic has created has agreed to continue as President for another 12 months.  Commenting on the Audited FIS Accounts, which can be downloaded below, Helen stated:

“The FIS accounts for 2020 show a small deficit of £6,990.   Given the meteoric impact of COVID on the operation of FIS and the workload that the team shouldered, this is testament to quick and decisive action and careful management – I would like to thank the Board and FIS team for delivering what I think is an outstanding result in the circumstances.

Our auditor, Prime Chartered Accountants, has given a clean audit opinion and has advised that there are no major accounting or financial issues which need to be brought to the attention of members.”

The result of the Board elections was announced, there were seven Contractor Board positions and five Supplier Board positions on the FIS Board. Vacancies for the new Board were for four Contractors and one Supplier. There were five contractor candidates for the four vacancies, and three Supplier candidates for the one supplier vacancy.  Voting forms were sent to members on 23 September 2021.
