On 5 December the sector will come together to celebrate training in our sector, recognising those that are delivering training, undertaking training and progressing in their careers within the plastering and interior fit out sector.

Guests will hear from Mark Millar, a recognised face on BBC1’s DIY SOS. He has been project managing the extraordinary builds since 2006, and his cheeky antics coupled with incredible building skills have made him a favourite with the audience.

Mark is from Northern Ireland and took up an apprenticeship as a carpenter.  After 4 years, he left Ireland to head for London before settling in Bristol.

Mark runs his own building firm in Bristol, and has worked on projects all over the US and Europe, including New York and Spain.
