On 25 November the sector will come together to celebrate training in our sector, recognising those that are delivering training, undertaking training and progressing in their careers within the plastering and interior fit-out sector.

Training Awards
This year’s winners will be announced and presented by Philippa Tuttiett, founder of the UK’s first building company to offer an all-female work force. The categories announced include:
- The achievement of apprentices
- Students who have exceeded beyond expectations
- The delivery of training by colleges and training providers
- Training delivery by an FIS member company
- Mentors and others who have supported sector training
- Lifetime contribution to sector training

Guest speaker
Our guest speaker is Philippa Tuttiett. She is the face of Welsh Women’s rugby and since her playing retirement, she has become a fan favourite in the commentary box and one of the most respected female pundits in the world.
Off the field there is no glass ceiling, with Philippa setting up the UK’s first building company to offer an all-female work force. Female Building and Interiors was launched in 2007 and continues to be very successful. She also became the first female builder to be featured on TV as master builder of the Renovation Game on Channel 4, and she has hosted a series of DIY tips with UKTV.
