Full funding available to get your drylining operatives qualified to an NVQ Level 2 when you join FIS membership

Details of the offer

Special time-limited offer –  join the FIS membership by 29 February.  If your company is CITB Levy registered, you will be eligible to have your experienced drylining operatives qualified for a cost neutral price to an NVQ Level 2 qualification with the CITB Short-Period Qualification Grants where you can claim back of up to £600.

FIS membership starts from £600 – £1,500 plus VAT depending upon the type of business you are

Who is eligible?

This offer is only applicable to operatives in the drylining fixing and drylining finishing (taping and jointing) trades who have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Where will the assessment take place?

The one day assessment will take place at Preston and Stoke NVQ Assessment centres only

FIS will be using North West Skills Academy.   We will book your place once you have registered in taking up the offer.

How will it be funded?

If you are directly employed by a company or sub-contract for a company who is CITB Levy registered, the company can claim upto £600 from the CITB to recover the delivery costs through the – CITB Short-Period Qualification Grants ,  this means you will be able to recover the cost of the NVQ from the CITB Short Period Qualifications Grants upon successful completion of the NVQ assessment claim back.

A deposit of £200 +VAT will be required upfront to register each operative.

£400 +VAT will be required upon attendance of the course for each operative.

A certificate will be issued by the training provider within 7-14 days of payment,  which will make you eligible to claim upto £600 back from the CITB.

How long does it take?

This route takes a day where your operatives will attend either the Preston NVQ Assessment centre or Stoke NVQ Assessment centre.  .

On successful completion of the assessment, our trainers will send your information to the awarding body, who will issue an NVQ Level 2 certificate.  This can take between 3–4 weeks.  Once in receipt of your certificate you can order your Blue Skilled Workers card directly from CSCS which take another 3–4 weeks to come through.  For you to be qualified and carded can take up to 8 weeks.

Are there any exclusions?

CITB will only pay out on the CITB Short-Period Qualification Grants if the operatives pass their assessment.  If the operative fails the assessment then they will not be able to recover the costs from CITB
