FIS has been working with suppliers and contractors in our membership and the Steel Construction Institute (SCI) to fund the development of new testing. A common design detail that has previously been unsupported by manufacturer test evidence is the fixing of Steel Framed Systems (SFS) as infill to encased structural steelwork, which adds cost and complexity to many projects.
