Building an Apprentice Workforce
Employing an apprentice is a big step, but you are not on your own. This workshop looks at funding and support available to businesses looking to invest in the future workforce through apprenticeships.
Tightening immigration rules means the supply chain needs to redouble our efforts to train up skilled workers. Added to this, the new Construction Playbook is set to revolutionise social value in procurement and will favour suppliers who “provide evidence of their commitment to developing and investing in skills” and in particular their commitment to the creation of apprenticeships.
Against this backdrop, apprentices are a vital investment in the future and, a well-managed programme, can help enhance productivity and improve business performance, but where do you start. This workshop looks at the opportutities and challenges to taking on an apprentice.
