Terms and Conditions of membership:
- The company understands the FIS membership criteria and agrees to be bound by the Association’s Code of Conduct and Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- It accepts that the one-off £250 + VAT accredited membership joining fee is non-refundable.
- It accepts that subscriptions are reviewed annually and membership renewal is automatic, unless three months’ written notice has been given.
- It accepts that membership is not transferable to another company.
- It accepts that should the company not be accepted for membership, that the decision of FIS is final and acknowledges that it may re-apply in the future.
- It can provide evidence on request that (where applicable):
Contractors:
- It (and its subcontractors) have Adequate Public and Employers Liability Insurance.
- It (and its subcontractors) have an effective H&S policy which is regularly reviewed and understands its duties under the current CDM regulations.
- It (and its subcontractors) carry out risk assessments and provide method statements.
- It (and its subcontractors) provide appropriate welfare facilities.
- It (and its subcontractors) record all RIDDOR reportable accidents.
- It (and its subcontractors) records any enforcement action taken against it and any remedial action taken.
- It (and its subcontractors) have an appropriate environmental policy.
- It (and its subcontractors) install products in accordance with relevant standards and best practices.
- It monitors the quality of workmanship, auditing periodically and carries out an on-going performance review.
- It has in place and implements a company training plan.
- It is committed to qualifying its workforce.
Suppliers:
- It has adequate Public and Employers Liability Insurance.
- It has an effective H&S policy which is regularly reviewed.
- It carries out risk assessments and provide method statements, including for occupational health.
- It has a system for monitoring procedures, auditing them periodically.
- It has COSHH statements for its product range where applicable.
- It records all RIDDOR reportable accidents.
- It records any enforcement action taken against it and any remedial action taken.
- It has in place and implements a company training plan.
- It is committed to qualifying its workforce.
- It has written Terms and Conditions of Sale.
- It has a policy statement/procedure on customer care/deliveries/returns.
- It has an appropriate environmental policy statement.
- It operates a waste management policy that complies with national and local regulations.
- It can provide a life cycle cost/policy statement for its products where applicable.
- All products manufactured or sold comply with relevant standards including ISO 9000 and /or its own in house procedures.
- It provides technical support and installation guides.
- It has test data to substantiate product performance and will provide it upon request.
By applying for membership, I confirm I have read and understood the above declaration and am authorised to apply for FIS membership on behalf of the company.
