Ysgol Robert Owen, Powys
The Project
Ysgol Robert Owen is a state-of-the-art additional needs school situated in Newtown, Mid Wales. This modern facility boasts 19 classrooms, a library, a dining hall, a hydrotherapy pool, two sensory rooms, a rebound room, a garden, and a community café, all designed to provide an enriching educational environment.
Our team collaborated closely with the architect, the client, and Knauf to meticulously develop wall types that meet the necessary fire and acoustic performance standards. Additionally, we partnered with Ecophon and Soundsorba to select optimal ceiling tiles, acoustic rafts, and baffles, ensuring compliance with the required acoustic specifications.
The project features a variety of intricate ceiling installations, including striking bulkheads, roof lights, wind catchers, and acoustic rafts, all contributing to a dynamic and supportive atmosphere for both students and staff.
