Wolfson College Buttery, Oxfordshire
The Project
Tapper Interiors fitted a new timber ceiling to the Buttery at Wolfson College. This was initially to have black perimeter trims to each area, however due to each area having a light fitting around the perimeter we were unable to use a trim. This was overcome by cutting each tile individually to create an even shadow gap to each area and also suspending individual tiles as well as the grid. There were also areas where there was not enough height to fit the grid so tiles had to be taken apart and individual slats fixed through steel above. The rear areas of the ceiling proved very tricky due to the changes in direction of the tiles and access above the ceiling being a requirement.
Scope of Works
