Neilston Learning Campus, Glasgow
The Project
DV McColl were appointed by Heron Brothers to complete a multi package subcontract at the new Neilston Learning Campus, which included suspended ceilings. Combining two primary schools and a nursery, this new-build education facility has been a great addition to not only Neilston itself but the east Renfrewshire area. It was a great project for DV McColl to be part of, as it involved some very complex details and interfaces, which our site team delivered impeccably. Particularly throughout the corridor and atrium areas, there was an abundance of curved walls and bulkheads to both levels, with a significant proportion of these at great height. The Suspended Ceilings scope comprised of Ecophon grid ceilings and acoustic rafts, Knauf metal lay-in tiles to the corridors, plasterboard borders, upstands, bulkheads & rooflights, a great deal of which were on a curved basis, Oranit timber slatted ceilings, Rockwool high impact soffit slab linings and Knauf Aquapanel linings and encasements.
