Moody's Analytics, Edinburgh
The Project
MPACT were delighted to be approached by JLL and Form Design to complete the refurbishment of Moody’s Analytic’s office space in the middle of Edinburgh’s bustling business district. The works were to strip out and refurbish the majority of their ground floor office space. We worked with Form Design Consultants to create cost effective solutions, maintaining certain aspects of the existing fit out, that also allowed the client to get that new office feeling.
Soft pastels of green and pink were paired with biophilic design elements within the breakout areas to create a calming environment. This design enhanced the natural daylight within the office, whilst maintaining a divide between the breakouts and the general working office. Pops of Moody’s corporate blue were dotted throughout to give the office a spark of the client’s personality.
Scope of Works
-The nature of the client’s work is heavily data based, and therefore the removal and renewal of the existing data cables become a complex part of the project.
Sustainability – Each ceiling tile was removed for a condition check, individually cleaned, and retained to be used again. This seems like a small thing, however, was a cost efficient and sustainable solution to replacing the tiles.
– We removed all of the existing carpet tiles from the space, and worked alongside our trusted flooring subcontractor on a ‘takeback scheme’ as part of a circular economy initiative, with the tiles either being repurposed or recycled.
