Middle Eight Hotel, London
The Project
Ridge Interiors were appointed by Ellmer Construction to carry out the refurbishment works at the prestigious Kingsway Hall Hotel in Holborn for Shiva Hotels. Upon completion it was rebranded to a luxury lifestyle hotel now known as Middle Eight. The location is ideally situated within walking distance of Oxford Street and the West End
Ridge works comprised of a new fit-out of the Hotel Guestrooms and Front of House including Dry Lining, Partitions and Suspended Ceilings. The hotel’s 12 unique suites have been carved out of the windowless 1st floor space (formerly meeting rooms) to provide astonishing light filled spaces via internal, naturally lit courtyards. These spaces complement the 190 bedrooms which now cleverly provide junior suite facilities in every room. The Public spaces are dominated using natural materials including a stunning hand-crafted reclaimed oak reception desk. The bar and reception ceilings were of a particular challenge.
Our professional approach led to the successful reopening of the Hotel on time and on budget.
Ridge worked very closely with the Primary Contractor, Ellmer Construction and the award-winning Interior Designers Tonik Associates.
We are very proud to have been associated with this project.
