The Project
SCS were tasked to deliver one of the best learning hubs for creative industries in the UK. Providing a bespoke ceilings finish for a centre of excellence for creative and digital industries.
The intricate and complex detailed installation comprised of British Gypsum Casoline Gyptone Quattro 41 MF ceilings with feature MF bands and stepped bulkheads to a triple height, high level atrium, incorporating SAS System 205 and 330 metal plank ceilings within circulation and core breakout areas with the introduction of bespoke SAS 740 linear system to feature Reception, Future U and Restaurant locations.
A customised mixture of suspended Ecophon Solo Akutex FT Rafts and Rockfon Tropic exposed lay in grid ceilings were installed to the tutorial areas.
Works were carried out over Four storeys for UCEN’s School of Computing and Cyber-Security, The Manchester Film School, The Arden School of Theatre, and the School of Art, Media and Make-Up.
