The Project

This new two-storey health centre in Lillington has brought new benefits to the community, including health services and the creation of more jobs.

The facility integrates various health professionals and supports improved access to services for local residents. The development integrates primary care services alongside a range of community health teams and has supported increased access to vital services for the local population.

This project was very challenging due to the double-height spaces throughout the upper level and the sloped exposed roof details. The use of these spaces a sense of size beyond what you would expect for a project of this nature; however, it required significant challenge’s regarding design, sequence, and installation that DCL had to overcome.

A significant challenge that this project faced was the budget, This job was let at the tail end of considerable price increases. DCL worked tirelessly with the client’s design team and Sinait to produce details and a specification that could be installed within budget whilst maintaining all performance requirements and meeting the clients high expectations.
