Greenheys Manchester Science Park - Bruntwood SciTech
The Project
Rapidfix Ceilings & Partitions delivered an extensive specialist ceilings package at Greenheys, Manchester Science Park, a landmark £60 million life sciences development for Bruntwood SciTech, constructed by Willmott Dixon.
The package incorporated bespoke SAS International metal ceilings and rafts, MF ceilings, Kvadrat acoustic rafts, Rockfon acoustic baffles, Autex acoustic rafts and Decor Acoustics slatted timber acoustic rafts.
A defining feature of the project is the bespoke SAS installation, where large-scale metal ceiling elements sit alongside exposed mechanical and electrical services and architectural lighting. The combination creates a visually striking interior while placing significant emphasis on accurate setting-out, alignment, detailing and coordination between trades.
The wide variety of ceiling systems introduced differing installation requirements, materials and finishes, each demanding specialist knowledge and careful attention to workmanship.
Across the development, Rapidfix’s installation team delivered a diverse range of architectural and acoustic ceiling solutions within a technically demanding research environment.
The completed works showcase the craftsmanship, technical expertise and attention to detail required to successfully deliver complex specialist ceiling installations on a prestigious commercial development.
