Faifley Campus, West Dumbartonshire
The Project
We were appointed by Morrison Construction to deliver the Suspended Ceiling and Acoustic Wall Panel packages at the new Faifley Campus in Clydebank.
This combined campus showcases a variety of different ceiling and acoustic systems, which not only provide excellent acoustic performance throughout but also makes this facility unique in terms of aesthetics.
Excellently designed and configured, the building exhibits a blend of ceiling solutions at varying heights, transitions and double height spaces.
One of these applications being the Knauf Heradesign Woodwool system to which over 2,000/m2 were installed throughout the facility.
Woodwool systems are very well suited to these learning areas, as they provide excellent sound absorption and warming tones with the aesthetics of the tile.
With acoustics being crucial to any educational facility, these spaces received further acoustic enhancement in the shape of hanging rafts, baffles, wall panels and wall coverings, which were installed in different ways throughout the building.
