Co-op Live Arena, Manchester
The Project
Home to the UK’s largest indoor arena, the Co-Op Live Arena has been one of the most impressive large-scale projects of its type that Measom have been involved in. Our scope of works include the full drylining package, partition walls, plastering, MF ceilings and lighting bulkheads. All aspects were built to a high-performance specification, with rigorous standards for fire and acoustics, crowd loadings, security and large deflections.
Speaking of our works, Josh Kendall, BAM Project Manager said “Measom undertook drylining and ceiling packages on the Co-Op Live Project. Their knowledge and expertise were vital in ensuring this was a successful relationship on an incredibly challenging project. Measom offered technical support and liaised with the architectural team to offer design solutions prior to issues being faced on-site. They constantly offer a proactive, user-friendly approach and ensure works are completed to the highest of standards.”
Level 2 contains spectacular lighting features formed by creating specialist vaulted ceilings with curved apertures. These required high levels of precision to reach the aesthetic requirements. The bars needed heavy-duty walls to support the steel framework for bottle displays.
Overall, the final result at Co-Op Live Arena is something we are incredibly proud of and looks outstanding.
