Citi Bank levels 1-2 and 17, London
The Project
Pacy & Wheatley were invited by BPC to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at Citi Bank. The project is located in the heart of London’s financial district at the prestigious Canada Square in Canary Wharf, one of the most significant commercial and financial hubs in the United Kingdom.
The tower is home to Citigroup, which is investing an incredible $1.5 billion to redevelop and modernise its headquarters. This major redevelopment highlights the organisation’s long-term commitment to the UK and to maintaining London as a key global financial centre. The refurbishment aims to transform the building into a modern, sustainable workplace designed to support collaboration, employee wellbeing, and future ways of working.
Scope of Works
Following extensive discussions and design meetings, it was agreed that Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics would install over 650m² of Rockfon Mono Acoustic across the project. The installation spanned three different levels (01,02 and 17) and covered both communal areas and office space.
Rockfon Mono Acoustic was selected for the project due to its combination of high-performance acoustic properties and premium seamless finish. Offering Class A sound absorption, the system was designed to effectively control reverberation and reduce background noise, creating a more comfortable and acoustically balanced environment. Following completion, the installation made a significant difference to the overall atmosphere of the space. By reducing unwanted echo and background noise, it created a calmer and more comfortable environment throughout the building, while complementing the modern aesthetic of the refurbishment.
Alongside its acoustic performance, Rockfon Mono Acoustic was chosen for its clean, contemporary appearance. Its sleek, seamless finish helped maintain the visual integrity of the building while providing the required acoustic performance. The installation was completed successfully on site through close collaboration between our team and the BPC site team. We were delighted with the finished result and the contribution the installation has made to both the acoustic performance and overall appearance of the space. We look forward to working with BPC again in the future!
