The Project
Our works at bloombergs London building consisted of the manufacture and installation of GRG sections curved in profile and elliptically shaped atrium bulkheads.
There were three different sized profiles over seven floors with the smaller of the three being removable.
To make the smaller bulkhead removable we had to design a bespoke bracketry and channel system to work with the concrete tolerances.
The sections were pre-finished in a metal affect bespoke paint finish off site.
Because the sections were to be pre-finished the setting up of mould sizes, strike offs and the casting had to be perfect.
When installing panels, they had to align with 10mm flashgaps in glass balustrading above and 10mm flashgaps in metal pan ceilings below.
