Blairgowrie Recreation Centre
The Project
Blairgowrie Recreation Centre is a flagship community and educational facility serving both Blairgowrie High School and the wider Perthshire region. The centre features a 6-lane, 25-metre competition swimming pool, a four-court sports hall, a two-court gymnasium, fitness suite, dance studio, PE classroom, and associated changing facilities.
Our scope of works included the installation of high-level Knauf Heradesign ceilings within the games halls and reception areas, alongside CMS Danskin Superphon wall panels to enhance acoustic performance. Within the swimming pool area, we installed an LSA timber slatted ceiling and matching wall panels, creating a seamless and visually cohesive finish from ceiling to walls.
In the changing village, a specialist Ecophon Hygiene Advance ceiling system was installed to meet the required hygiene and moisture-resistant standards. The dance and fitness studios were fitted with Ecophon Focus DS ceilings, providing both acoustic control and a clean aesthetic. Additional works included various plasterboard MF ceilings and margin details throughout the facility.
