The Project
Stanta secured all 3 phases of this development but for this assessment the 2nd phase was put forward as most recently completed. This phase of this large development in Walworth, south London, is being regenerated over a 30 year programme, providing 3500 new homes in all, of which over 50% will be affordable.
Phase 2 consisted of 352 homes of affordable rent tenure distributed over 9 blocks ranging from 2 to 17 storeys high.
Stanta were appointed to design, supply and install over 16,000m2 of SFS infill walls including all Boards, Insulations, Brick Channels and associated scope. Stanta were also awarded the full Nordan Window and Door installation to offer a fully sealed envelope for our client offering critial path management and co-ordination of the substrate envelope design and construction.
To offer best value & savings Stanta prepared bespoke Fire tests of the combination of materials used onsite. This featured 2 full scale BS EN 1364 tests using the Stanta SFS, BG Glasroc x Board and URSApan Insulation.
All design was prepared in-house which led to a smooth coordination between the packages for installation and the subsequent award of phase 3 since which is underway currently onsite.
