Apprentice Of The Year

This award is open to any individual who has demonstrated commitment to their own personal development and progression and the organisation they work for, whilst undertaking a craft apprenticeship in the employment of an FIS member.
The nominee should have successfully completed at least six months of their apprenticeship at intermediate or advanced level at nomination closing date.

What the judges will be looking for:

•    Commitment to personal development and progression through skills and learning.
•    Contribution to the organisation or to a project where the apprentice has exceeded expectations.
•    Personal qualities that make the individual stand out from others.
•    Contribution to teamwork.

Outstanding Employee

This award recognises professional and support staff which have made an exceptional contribution to an FIS member organisation.

Judges will be looking for evidence of:
•    Outstanding contributions to their organisation
•    Exceptional reliability, quality of work, initiative, and professionalism
•    Leadership and problem solving skills
•    Exemplary performance of activities above and beyond the scope of responsibilities
•    Personal qualities that make the individual stand out from others

Future Leader

This award is open to high-potential individuals in the early stages of their management career employed by an FIS member.

What the judges will be looking for:
•    Must demonstrate leadership potential
•    Show commitment to personal / professional development
•    Be making a contribution beyond functional, technical or specialist area
•    Have strategic networking capability
•    A heightened sense of self-awareness

President’s Award – Lifetime Achievement

This award recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to the finishes and interiors sector over a sustained period of time.

Our President will be looking for:
•    Extraordinary contribution to the community
•    Leadership and inspiration to others within our sector
•    Personal qualities that make the individual stand out from others
