Plastering and Interior Systems Training Awards Categories and Entry

Apprentice of The Year

  1. The Apprentice of the Year will have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years.
  2. He/she will have been working in one of the seven occupational areas covered by FIS for at least 12 months. These are drylining; ceiling installaion, partition installation, plastering, flooring installers; steel frame systems erectors; and supervisory, technical, and managerial occupations.
  3. He/she will have undertaken a course of Training and/or Assessment during the period Sept 2019 to June 2022
  4. The aim of the award to recognise and reward excellence in achievement. The entry form should explain why it is felt that the candidate’s achievement through training and/or assessment is worth of recognition.

This may be:

  1. Outstanding performance in practical work and/or on site.
  2. Simply the best student at the College/Training Provider.
  3. Exceptional breadth in the learning journey.
  4. Spectacular personal improvement through training.
  5. Achievement despite hardship, disability or difficult personal circumstances.
  6. Entries should be made only on the official entry form.
  7. The Judging Panel reserve the right to request further information either in writing or through a virtual meeting such as ZOOM if they feel it is necessary.
  8. All entries must be received by 15 August 2022.
