Stuart Cochrane

Stuart Cochrane serves as Workplace Sustainability Lead for JLL UK Commercial Real Estate, driving sustainability, circularity, and inclusive design initiatives across JLL offices. He has developed extensive expertise in circular office design and embodied carbon reduction for commercial fitouts.

Beyond his role at JLL, Stuart supported Business in the Community in developing industry guidance for circular fitout practices and ensured 6 years of JLL’s embodied carbon project data was shared to support the development of occupier targets in the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard.

Currently, Stuart is delivering a market-leading sustainable fitout for JLL at 1 Broadgate, going beyond WELL Platinum and BREEAM Outstanding certifications, to set a new benchmark for sustainable fitout incorporating whole life carbon modelling from design inception, urban mining to drive down embodied carbon, material passports for over 200 products, best practice inclusive design guidance, low water consumption design, and an ambitious social impact strategy.
