Emily Samoluk

As Senior Sustainability Manager for British Land’s development arm, Emily oversees the delivery of the BL Sustainability Brief for a multitude of projects ranging from new builds, refurbishments and fit outs. Emily works closely with the project and design teams to push the boundaries and hold teams to account namely around embodied carbon, operational energy performance, circular economy and biodiversity impacts and ensuring that developments meet the BL 2030 Sustainability Strategy. Innovation and piloting also form a key element to her role, ensuring that the projects are the platform to be able try out and test new ways of working and materials to implement and contribute across the portfolio. Emily has an occupational interest in the sustainability deliverables around BL fit outs and the life science and innovation developments and a personal interest in mass timber use and bio-based materials.
