More on how FIS is delivering quality in the new normalFIS has a skills team supporting competence in the supply chain through a focus on the FIS SAKE (Skill Attitude Knowledge and Experience) Competency Framework. As well as helping membes access funding, developing training standards and working to improve the qualifications landscape and support a developing workforce and structured careers paths, FIS is running a number of programmes to help attack the skills shortage in the finishes and interiors sector.
We joined FIS to show clients we are a genuine, honest company who wants to install quality installations that are safe by following the best practice guides. Plus, with the various types of help FIS provides, it is a comfort to know there is always someone to go to get advice
Recent examples of our work
- FIS KickStart and Buildback programmes are helping members recruit new blood into the sector
- FIS 1-to-1 Skills and Training Funding clinics have helped members recoup over £100k of additional funding in support of training
- FIS Skills Board (a volunteer group of members) is helping to develop competency matrices for all core roles in the sector and support our journey to competence with a dedicated Approved Training Provider Network
