More on FIS focus on delivering quality in the new normalThrough our working groups, regional meetings, webinars, social media and membership engagement programme, FIS actively seeks to bring the community together to listen, share, create and challenge activity that helps our members to overcome challenges and grasp opportunities. FIS is a proud member of BuildUK and the Construction Products Association and we work collaboratively with a number of trade bodies/groups – collaboration is central to our way of working and core values. Together we are stronger.
“The essence of Building on Better is working with the supply chain to raise standards. It was great to be invited by FIS to be involved in the pilot of this acoustic verification scheme. As we started to focus on the challenge it absolutely opened our eyes to the complexity in comparing products and managing specifications. As a direct result we have produced new guidance for our team and are using only operable walls that have met the requirements of this scheme. We will continue to support this work in helping to bring clarity and underpin the values that FIS upholds in terms of marketing integrity. A recent example of our work
FIS has recently entered a new partnership with NBS focussed on knowledge exchange and better collaboration. To highlight the potential we jointly hosted an event that interrogated a typical fit-out project and looked at the challenges and practicalities, questioning whether greater collaboration is a pipe dream or becoming a reality. FIS also has a partnership with Barbour ABI to help project our information and membership.
