Blackpool Winter Gardens – The Empress Ballroom Renovation
As specialists in ornamental plasterwork and restoration of historic buildings Hayles and Howe was honoured to work in association with Blackpool Council to carry out repairs and conservation works to the Blackpool Winter Gardens 1890’s Empress Ballroom heritage ceiling designed and buillt by Mangall and Littlewood Architects. Hayles and Howe understand the importance of maintaining the heritage of significant venues such as this and used their expertise and traditional methods of craftmanship to restore the ceiling to its former glory. The in-house craftsmen carefully documented the progress of the project with the added valuable input of 3D scanning.
