Training Modules
FIS is developing several training modules that mirror the content in our best practice and site guides. Our team and industry experts will collaborate to curate these modules, ensuring that they provide users with informative content on each subject, reflecting competency.
Overview of the PFPF Guide
A common problem when integrating passive fire elements of construction into a scheme is that test standards control conditions in order to gather comparative and repeatable data and often do not well represent the site conditions under which the product will be installed. Manufacturers require mechanisms to extend and control the scope of application in ways that designers can understand and provide assurance with respect to building regulations, clients and insurers. FIS has created and published a short duration e-Learning module to help those who work with passive fire elements to understand how the PFPF (Passive Fire Protection Forum) guidelines allow test evidence to be expanded responsibly to cover real world product applications
