The CPA’s Economic and Construction Update provides an insightful summary of the latest economic and construction trends in the UK.

As highlighted previously, the Department for Business and Trade (now renamed the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade) Building materials and components statistics publication for August, which contains data such as brick deliveries and construction products price indices, was due to be published on 2 September, but it has now been postponed until 16 September.

The latest weekly update includes:

    • ONS Construction Output (July 2026)
    • RICS UK Residential Market Survey (August 2026)

The CPA’s Summer forecasts were published on 27 July and FIS members have exclusive access to this via our membership of CPA.

The update is an excellent resource for anyone interested in the UK construction industry, and the contents page allows readers to easily navigate to the sections that are most relevant to their interests.
