Job Purpose: Support learners to successfully progress on our Level 2 interior installer (drylining) apprenticeship.
Responsible to: IQA Team Leader
Department: Teaching, Learning and Assessment Team
Main Roles : To provide initial curriculum related advice and guidance, and support apprentice enrolment, induction and initial assessment as required.
- Be responsible for a caseload of learners to include:
Delivery of learner centred teaching with the aim of helping learners make logical progression by building on and revisiting key concepts, providing an inspirational teaching experience - Monitor learner progress through regular reviews and SMART action planning
- Provide learners with timely, constructive and developmental feedback on assessed work
- Promote high standards of Math, English and IT skills
Work in partnership with the Workplace Training Supervisors and employers to facilitate learner progress - Manage course deadlines and extensions in line with guidelines from Buttercups and employers
- Manage learner behaviour and challenge negative behaviour appropriately
- Maintain accurate learner records
- Liaise with Buttercups Teams to raise concerns to employers, where appropriate
- To participate in curriculum development work and develop teaching materials when required
- Maintain, revise and review Training Plans as required in line with any changes to the curricula or e-portfolio system
- Participate in standardisation and quality driven activities and projects as required.
- To work in line with all other relevant policies and procedures, at all times.
- To undertake additional reasonable duties as and when required.

Part-time – 0.4FTE
Location
Hybrid-based (Office at least once per week) but with occasional travel in England for face-to-face teaching or site/employer visits.

Salary: £15.59-£23.38 per hour

Education:
GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
commercial dry lining: 3 years (required)
Tutoring/mentoring: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Drylining qualification (required)
