The Scottish special interest forum was formed in November 2014. Membership of the Forum is open to all FIS members who are based or have an office and/or branch located in Scotland.
The objectives of the Forum are to:
- Promote best practice
- Educate and inform clients and specifiers about the group
- Promote the skills and quality standards of the group’s members
- Train the workforce and close the skills gap
- Become the technical authority for the sector in Scotland
- Provide market sector information
- Be the lobbying group for the sector in Scotland and where relevant, support and work with the Scottish NSCC committee
- Rationalise the PQQ process to into one common questionnaire
- Support the three main core activities of FIS: Skills, Technical, Community
