Members are invited to join other London-based FIS drylining contractor members for breakfast at The Clink Restaurant and an exclusive viewing of the of the Bounce Back drylining training centre at HM Prison Brixton on Tuesday 20 September between 9.00 and 11.00am.
This event is strictly by invitation only and to book your place at this special event please complete the registration form. For access on the day you will need to bring photographic ID.
The drylining training centre provides an 8-10 week intensive drylining course leading to a CITB C Skills accredited Level 2 diploma in drylining and CSCS cards for offenders nearing the completion of their sentences so they are ready to go onto site straight away. The training centre, sponsored by Nevill Long, Knauf, Encon along with Land Securities, Be Onsite and Lendlease together with Bounceback, work with contractors like yourselves to provide both job and project opportunities. Some of the drylining trainees have previously completed various training courses to better themselves and already hold qualifications in business administration, painting and decorating.
FIS supports this initiative and hopes our members will be able to attend and lend their support to this very worthwhile construction-based enterprise, providing a second chance for employment and putting the skills learned in prison to good use in the construction sector upon release. If you are unable to attend, please pass the invite to a colleague.
