BIM Process Training

BIM process training – certification for specialist contractorsBIM toolbox FC

In order to tender for BIM projects, specialist contractors must demonstrate they are able to work to processes laid out in PAS 1192-2.  Our FIS BIM process training, which is based on our BIM Toolbox, has been tailored for specialist fit-out and finishes contractors to allow them to demonstrate the company’s BIM capability and prequalify by completing core PQQ requirements with evidence.

You can access the FIS BIM toolbox here

The Benefits Of BIM Process Training

Specialist contractors need to develop BIM Level 2 capability in order to work with main contractors who are delivering projects using BIM.

Contractors completing the training will gain an understanding of the processes and terminology required by PAS 1192-2 and an awareness of specialist contractor requirements in relation to other core BIM documents published by BSI and CIC.

They will have the ability to demonstrate their BIM capability to main contractors and prequalify by completing the core PQQ requirements with evidence of compliance to PAS 91 and complete CPIx forms as appropriate.

The programme will also prepare specialist contractors to go through the full BSI BIM verification programme should they wish to go down that route.

It will also provide you with the knowledge to embed practical BIM procedures with your business via four options:

  • A standalone BIM quality management system
  • Integration of BIM procedures into your exiting ISO 9001 management system
  • UKAS Accredited ISO 9001 certification with integrated BIM procedures
  • An Integrated Management System that will secure Triple ISO certification (quality management, environmental management, health and safety management) with integrated BIM procedures.

Reviews & Endorsements

BIM ToolBox:

“I particularly liked the idea of the specialist contractor action tables that interpret relevant PAS 1192-2 clauses. That is just the kind of specific guidance that we were unable to write into the PAS when it was being developed.”
David Churcher, Director of Hitherwood Consulting Ltd

“The BIM Toolbox from FIS is probably the best explanation of Level 2 for specialist subcontractors currently available.”
Nick Tune, CoBuilder
